Winchester Model 57 Target Bolt Action Rifle, #28237, .22 LR, 22'' barrel, blue finish, smooth pistol grip walnut stock, checkered steel buttplate, sling swivels, dovetailed blade front sight, folding rear sight, Lyman Model 42SW peep sight, and includes one factory 5-round magazine. Left side of barrel and receiver are Winchester proofed. Mfg'd approx. 1938. Rifle is in very good overall condition. Metal surfaces retain approx. 93%-95% factory blue; triggerguard retains little blue and accounts for a majority of the finish loss. Metal with speckled very fine oxidation. Barrel address is sharp and clear. Wood retains a majority of its finish with intermittent scuffs and scratches, one slightly larger to the left side of the forend; left upper corner near the peep sight cut out is chipped.
